Yes. I think it is important as a professional In-Home Pet sitter that I can handle emergencies. I am now certified in Cat and Dog First Aid which includes CPR, how to dress wounds, what to do if your pet has a seizure, choking and how to check their vitals. I will be continuing my education to ensure your pets are safe and give you peace of mind while you are away.
We will first begin with a conversation about your needs and what type of pet(s) you have. Then I like to set up an in-home meeting so I can meet your pet(s) to make sure it is a good fit. Get to know them, make sure they are comfortable with me. If need be, sometimes I will do a trial overnight just to get to know your pet and build trust. Especially if you will be on a long vacation. This all depends on what type of service you are looking for.
Yes, for extended in-home overnight services for 3 or more days. Since I will be blocking that time for you on my calendar, I will need a small deposit that will be deducted from your total amount charged. Should you need to cancel, depending on the situation, I would require at least a weeks' notice, if possible. Refund of a deposit will be on a case-by-case basis. I do understand that things come up and trips need to be cancelled.
